How To Deal With Hair Loss?

There are few things more crippling to self-confidence than hair loss. When most people think about hair loss, they first think about balding men. But unfortunately for women, they share this serious problem too. And yes, hair loss is a serious problem- not life threatening of course, but it can have an enormous negative impact on one’s self-confidence and self-esteem.

In the past- it all came to one thing- “Just accept it, the sooner, the better!”. Although this is solid advice, it is a bit pessimistic, and powerless. Fortunately, this is the 21st century, and things have improved dramatically. Science and medicine are rapidly developing, and there are more solutions when dealing with hair loss.

Hair Transplantation

We will take the unusual route, mentioning the most drastic method first. When it works, hair transplantation is an effective method, no doubt about that. However, this is also the most invasive method- we are talking about surgery, minimally invasive, but still surgery. No matter how good the surgeon and the clinic is, every operation is a risk.

Hair transplantation often has good results and is quite reliable. Problems occur sometimes – bald patches, hair thinning, postoperative hiccups, are rare but do happen. However, hair transplantation has one big flaw- it is the most expensive method of all, and not everyone can afford it.

Lasers are newest additions to the long hair loss treatment list. When you see how lasers intended for stopping hair loss and stimulating new hair growth look, you will question our sanity. But these devices work, at least that is what American FDA claims. But yes, devices look kinda stupid- however, you are supposed to wear them at home, 3-4 times per week.

Companies who manufacture them claim that lasers have a potent antioxidant effect on scalp and hair follicles. Lasers will stop hair loss, and will even promote new hair growth- but this is something you will more likely feel under your fingers, not something other people will notice. They are not as expensive (and definitely not as invasive) as hair transplantation, but they are not cheap.

Shampoos and lotions

This is probably the first thing that came to your mind when you noticed you are losing hair. Hair loss shampoos are around for a while; there are dozens (if not hundreds) of different kinds. Some of them include ones with caffeine, ketoconazole, biotin, saw palmetto, and countless other ingredients and plants.

The shampoo you should try is Biofolic Hair Regrowth Shampoo. The composition of seaweed, algae and 11 medicinal herbs and grains gives you all the nutrients necessary for healthy hair growth. Lotions are a popular solution as well. Unlike shampoos, you are not supposed to wash them off right away, instead, let them sit on your hair for the prescribed amount of time. Some are effective (minoxidil), but you have to apply them regularly, multiple times per day.

Changing your life style

Hair loss is often caused by genetics, but the unhealthy lifestyle is also contributing. When someone is stressed out, we say “losing his/her hair,” and there is a good reason for that- excessive stress and anxiety will cause your hair to thin, and you will eventually start losing it. But, if you have so much pressure in your life, hair loss is the least of your concern.

Unfortunately, living a stressful life is not a matter of choice- you can’t just decide to go stress-free. But some things are known to lover stress. One of them is physical activity-  two to three times per week of jogging or yoga will do wonders for your stress levels.

Although changing your lifestyle requires patience, time and money, we recommend you to distress- it will benefit you in all areas, relationships, health, looks, and your hair might start regrowing if added stress caused the hair loss in the first place.

Changing your diet

Changing your diet is another thing that you should consider doing, especially if you are losing hair (it is a good idea even if your hair is fine). Our hair is delicate- and it does not lie. If you are mistreating your body, your hair will tell you that- first it will get too dry, or greasy, then it will get thinner, and eventually, it will start to fall off. At first, you will be able to hide it, but sooner rather than later, it will start showing.

One of the leading causes of hair loss that is tied to nutrition is lacking vitamin D. This is especially true during the winter months when you spend most of the time inside. Even when you are outside you are wearing thick jackets so no sunlight can go through (sunlight is essential for the proper absorption of vitamin D).

But there are other vitamin related causes too, and one of them is too much vitamin A. The good news is, it can be reversed- if start noticing your hair starting to fall off, check your daily intake of supplements- you might be overdosing your Vitamin A. Just return to the standard dosage (5000 IU per day), and your hair should start growing back (if Vitamin A caused the loss in the first place).

Lacking B vitamin in rare cases can trigger hair loss too.

Taking in too little protein can also cripple your hair. Protein plays a vital part in muscle building too, so make sure you get enough of it.

One more thing- going on a too strict diet can cause hair loss. As we highlighted, hair is a good sign of overall health, and losing too much weight over a short period stresses the organism. Don’t get us wrong, losing weight is not unhealthy per se, as long as you do it the proper way- and that is gradual. If you hurry too much, just to get that beach-body ready, you may risk wearing a wing the whole summer.

Similarly, to shampoos and lotions, there are many pills out there that stop hair loss, and promote hair growth. Pills/capsules are convenient- you can take them anywhere, and unlike lotions, you don’t have to wear them in your hair all day. And they are quite affordable too, giving good value for money. Separating the real ones from scams is tough.

They also supplement your diet, adding much needed vitamins that you most likely lack. The best ones will stimulate hair growth. Biofolic hair growth capsules are an excellent solution. They will strengthen your hair follicles, preventing hair loss and triggering new hair growth as well. Your scalp getting visibly healthier. Biofolic capsules will also supplement your regular diet, giving all the right ingredients, restoring your hair to its former glory.

In treating hair loss, there is no one size fits all solution. The most important thing is not to surrender- it is 2017. The least you can do is to prevent further loss, but as you saw in this article, there are many different things you can do to make your hair stronger and even regrow some lost hair. Just remember not to give up, just stay resilient, and be patient, results will show.
